The Punk Museum, created in 2011 on the initiative of Hollywood underground artist Tequila Mockingbird, aims to preserve punk in art and culture.
Launched in downtown Los Angeles, the museum then moved to Hollywood. It is now a Gypsy Show, offering concerts and exhibitions related to punk, and more generally the underground culture.
It is in this context that TEQUILA TV was born, a retrospective on underground art, offering reports and interviews and animated by Tequila Mockingbird in person.
Who is Tequila Mockingbird ?
You do not know Tequila yet? It’s probably because you’re not from California! Indeed, this artist (she sings in the band APOLLINAIRE), niece of Nancy Holloway, is very present in the underground scene of Los Angeles and its surroundings since several decades.
With her faithful acolyte and cameraman John Hicks, founder of A2HD, she travels California to interview artists and share their talents, from music to cinema to illustration.
